HAIR CARE AND TIPS

With each bundle weighting approximately 100 grams and measuring 3.5 oz, the longer the lengths the more bundles you will need. For lengths:

up to 12 inches - 2 bundles

14-22 inches - 3 bundles

24-26 inches - 4 bundles

28 inches and longer – 5 or more bundles

The better you take care of your extensions the longer they will last. With proper maintenance you can expect to reuse your Virgin Hair for 6 to 18 months and Raw Hair for up to 6 years. Although it is not required, you can use a good quality web sealant to reduce thinning over a long period of time. Also, avoid cutting your wefts unless necessary to maintain the longevity of your extensions.

Raw hair is raw. Meaning this hair has not been altered in anyway, just like the hair that grows out of your scalp. Single donors are used to produce each bundle of Raw Hair. This means that the curl pattern and color may have a slight variation between bundles. The most common textures in Raw Hair are straight, wavy, and rarely curly. Virgin hair however has been altered using heat and steam processes in order for the hair to maintain its wave pattern. With Virgin Hair, although bundles may be produced from one donor, bundles can also come from multiple donors. Their color and curl patterns are the exact same with each bundle. Virgin also has more variety in textures from straight, loose wave, deep wave, water wave, curly, kinky curls, etc.

You can have high quality Raw Hair, just like you can have high quality Virgin Hair. What makes the difference boils down how you wear your hair, how you maintain your hair, and what works for you. Raw Hair requires just as much attention as your natural hair. This means developing a wash day routine. The key with Raw Hair is moisture, moisture, moisture, and minimal products. Virgin Hair, while still needs to be properly maintained, may be more manageable.

Shampoo your extensions using a downward motion before installing. Do not massage hair together while wet to minimize tangling. We suggest using a shampoo and conditioner that is sulfates-free. . With Virgin Hair, washing once every 1-2 weeks and deep conditioning between washes is usually enough. Just make sure the shampoo and condition are sulfate-free. While silicone base conditioners are okay to use on Virgin Hair, it is not suggested to use on Raw extensions. For Raw Hair we recommend washing your extensions with Tresemme Moisture Rich Shampoo & Conditioner and allowing your conditioner to sit for 15-20 minutes before rinsing. It’s important with Raw Hair to washing your extension at least once a week and deep conditioning your hair at least once every two weeks. A good deep conditioner we recommend using is SheaMoisture Raw Deep Treatment Masque.

Never detangle your extensions while dry. While extensions are wet, comb through starting at the ends of the hair and working your way up to the roots. For curly textures, use a paddle or Denman brush to define curls. It is recommended that you air dry your extensions. Do not apply excessive oil and products on extensions to avoid matting and clumping of curls. Applying an Anti-Frizz serum will help seal the hair shafts and reduces fizziness throughout your day without weighting your hair down. Try to limit the amount of heat used when styling your extensions. If using hot tools, always spray a heat protectant on hair before styling.

To maintain curly/wavy hair curl definition, use a spray bottle of 1/3 leave-in conditioner and 2/3 water to saturate sectioned parts of your hair one at a time. Comb each saturated part thoroughly out with your Denman brush and use a towel or cotton t-shirt to scrunch hair upwards to remove excessive water. Afterwards, allow hair to air dry without running fingers through the hair to minimize frizzing. If using a diffuser to help curls lock in place, use with fan on low speed and the cool air setting.

Absolutely! Our hair extensions are a 100% human hair. It can be colored, curled, and straighten just like your natural hair. You can expect for your wavy and curly textures to revert back to its normal state when washed. We recommend consulting with a professional when dying your extensions, as higher volume developer and bleach can be damaging if overprocessed.

Sure, why not! Use a satin bonnet to protect your extensions. For lace units, tie your edges down with a satin scarf before applying your bonnet. You can sleep on a silk satin pillowcase is to minimize friction.
